Natural Gas futures rose in the domestic market on Friday after a report said that US gas stockpiles climbed less than expected last week, signaling improving demand for the fuel in the world's biggest economy.
US gas stockpiles rose 65 billion cubic feet in the week ended August 9, 2013, EIA said. Analysts' were expecting a rise of 70 billion cubic feet in gas stockpiles last week.
At the MCX, Natural Gas futures for August 2013, is trading at Rs. 211.80 per mmBtu, up by 2.47 per cent, after opening at Rs. 207.20, against the previous closing price of Rs. 206.70. (At 12:04 PM).
