DLF spurts over 3% on sale of non-core assets
Shares of country's leading real estate player DLF rose over 3 per cent in early trade on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) after the company sold two non-core assets worth Rs 1.47 billion ($24 million), as part of its effort to pare debt.

DLF divested a majority stake in a subsidiary for Rs 798 million and completed the sale of its wind turbines in the western state of Rajasthan for Rs 674 million, the company said in a statement.

Extending yesterday's gain, shares of the company gained as much as 3.23 per cent to trade at Rs 151.70 a piece on the BSE. In a similar fashion, shares of the company advanced 2.24 per cent to Rs 150.55 a piece on National Stock Exchange. Meanwhile, the broader benchmark Sensex was quoting at 20,265.29, up 16.03 points or 0.08 per cent at 9:55 hours.
