Engineering and construction major Larsen & Toubro, on Friday, said its net profit for the second quarter ended September 2013 declined by 14.05 per cent to Rs 977.51 crore as compared with the net profit of Rs 1,137.31 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous fiscal.
However, net revenues of the company rose by 10.59 per cent to Rs 14,958.93 crore in Q2 FY'14 from Rs 13,526.37 crore in Q2 FY'13.
The company said during the quarter, the outward trend in the order inflow was sustained in the second consecutive quarter of the year, Larsen & Toubro said in a statement.
Meanwhile, shares of the company closed trading at Rs 872.35 a piece, 4.19 per cent from previous close on BSE.
