BHEL gains on winning new order worth Rs 1,023 cr

Shares of state-run Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) gained as much as 1.3 per cent in the morning trade on BSE on the reports that it has bagged an order worth Rs 1,023 crore from Neyveli Lignite Corporation for supplying turbine generator package order for 2x500 mw lignite-fired thermal power project.

At 09:55 hours, shares of the company were trading at Rs 173.90 a piece, up 0.84 per cent from previous close on BSE.


The scope of work would include manufacture, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of the steam turbine generators and auxiliaries along with associated civil works, said a media report.
