ICICI Bank launches tax collection service in Odisha
In a first, India's largest private sector lender ICICI Bank has partnered with Odisha government to collect all the state-level taxes through its branches in the state as well as through its internet banking facility. The move is first of its kind by any bank in Odisha.

The move is aimed at helping people of Odisha to pay their taxes easily and with their convenience at any branch, irrespective of having accounts with ICICI Bank or not.

"We are extremely pleased to partner with the state government to extend technology-based services for the people of Odisha. This initiative is in line with the ICICI Bank's philosophy of 'Khayaal Aapka' wherein we put customer's convenience first." said Anirudh Kamani, general manager, ICICI Bank said in a release.

Tax payers can avail this service by generating a challan from the website of the Directorate of Treasury and Inspection with the details of tax payment. That challan, then, along with cash, cheque or demand draft can be deposited at any ICICI Bank branch for tax payments.

ICICI Bank account holders can also use internet banking facility to pay their taxes in the state.
