Shares of KEC International rose over 3% per cent in early trade on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) after the company said it has sold land measuring more than 7.3 acres in Thane, near Mumbai, for approximately Rs 214 crore to Tata Housing Development Company, a real estate arm of the Tata group.
The shares of company rose as much as 3.25 per cent to trade at Rs 69.90 a piece on the BSE. In a similar fashion, shares of the company rose 3.33 per cent to Rs 69.80 a piece on National Stock Exchange.
Meanwhile, the broader benchmark Sensex was quoting at 22,362.18, down 24.09 points or 0.11 per cent at 10:59 hours.
