New Delhi, Apr 9 (PTI) Silver prices fell by Rs 297 to Rs 37,135 per kg in futures trade today in tune with a weak trend overseas as speculators reduced their exposure.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in far-month July traded lower by Rs 297, or 0.79 per cent, to Rs 37,135 per kg in a business turnover of 20 lots.
Similarly, the white metal for delivery in May declined by Rs 289, or 0.78 per cent, to Rs 36,669 per kg in a business volume of 382 lots.
In the international market, silver traded 0.7 per cent lower at USD 16.41 an ounce in Singapore today.
Analysts said the fall in silver prices at futures trade was due to a weak trend in precious metals in global markets.
