Leading infrastructure service provider, KNR constructions has announced that it has been awarded three orders for the upgradation of roads from the Tamil Nadu government which is worth Rs 729 crore, PTI reported.
"We have been awarded by Project Director, Tamil Nadu Road Sector Project II, Chennai, three orders worth Rs 729 crore," PTI quoted a company official as saying this.
"The first order is for developing "Kanchipuram-Vandavasi road and Sdras-Chengalpattu-Kancheepuram-Arakonam-Thiruthani road" which is to be completed within a period of 36 months from the appointed date.The second project is for upgrading "Arcot Villupuram Road" which is to be completed within a period of 42 months from the appointed date. The third order is for "upgrading Malliyakarai-Rasipuram-Thiruchengode-Erode Road," he added.
The road project bagged by KNR Constructions is a part of Tamil Nadu Road Sector Project which includes construction of roads conforming to international standards is going on with the assistance of World Bank Loan and the funds provided by the Tamil Nadu government.
