SpiceJet Share Surges on Expansion Plan

    Shares of SpiceJet zoomed over 8 per cent on Monday after the low cost carrier unveiled plan to infuse capital for fleet expansion.

    According to Business Standard report, the country's fourth largest airline by domestic passenger share, SpiceJet's chairman and main promoter Ajay Singh has announced to invest capital for fleet expansion.

    Bolstered by the development, shares of company gained as much as 8.26 per cent to trade at Rs 19.65 apiece on BSE.

    Meanwhile, the broader benchmark BSE Sensex was trading at 26,621.13, down 146.23 points, or 0.55 per cent, at 11:55 hours.
