State Bank of Travancore said that it has launched a new mobile ATM in Thiruvanathapuram, Kerala's capital in order to bring banking facility at the doorstep of customers.
The ATM is installed in a mobile air-conditioned van equipped with uninterrupted power, CCTV and guarded security with satellite connectivity.
The mobile ATM, which also serves as an Information Kiosk to public to help them know about banking products and services, moves from place to place in the city, delivering customers safe and swift banking, a release said.
The public sector bank major launched the mobile ATM as an Independence Day gift to city dwellers, it said.
With the launch of Mobile ATM, SBT adds one more ATM to its network of 1632 ATMs linked to State Bank Group ATM network, the largest ATM network in the country.
Meanwhile, shares of the Bank were trading at Rs 437 a piece, up 3.15 per cent from the previous close at 11:41 hours on BSE.
