Public-sector lender, Punjab National Bank said that Ministry of Finance has appointed Usha Ananthasubramanian as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Bank for a period of three years.
"In terms of Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, Government of India Notification dated 14 August 2015, Usha Ananthasubramanian, has been appointed as Managing Director and Chief Executive officer of the Bank for a period of three years," the Bank said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Three years period starts from the date of taking over charge of the post or till the date of superannuation i.e. 30 September 2018 or until further orders, whichever is earlier, the filing added.
Usha Ananthasubramanian has assumed the charge of Managing Director & CEO of the Bank on 14 August 2015.
Meanwhile, shares of the bank were trading at Rs 172.20 a piece, up 3.58 per cent from the previous close at 10:21 hours on BSE.
