Maharashtra Govt to sign MOC with Japan for infra projects

Maharashtra Government has said that it is likely to sign Memorandum of Cooperation with Japanese administration to bag big ticket projects in Maharashtra.

As per reports, both the Indian and Japanese officials are certain towards this deal. Indian officials are making every possible effort to enhance business environment globally by utilizing incentives and strengthening infrastructural development of Maharashtra.

As part of its infrastructure development, the Maharashtra Government may ask the Japanese Government to develop infrastructure with a view to utilise Japan's public funds.


Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO) wishes to tap the potential benefit of investing in 1000 acre land reserved for Industrial Park at Supa-Parnr Industrial Estate near Pune.

Commenting upon the development, the officials from India said, "Both sides are likely to seek cooperation in future metro projects such as Mumbai metro Phase 2, Nagpur metro and Pune metro in a mutually beneficial manner, and in the important infrastructure projects such as Mumbai Trans-Harbor Link(MTHL). "
