    Mortgage lender Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd (HDFC) on Wednesday said it plan to raise up to Rs 500 crore by issuing rupee denominated bonds to overseas investors.

    "The company is contemplating, subject to market conditions, undertaking an issuance of rupee denominated bonds to overseas investors worth Rs 500 crore," HDFC said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

    The bond to be listed on London Stock Exchange will open for subscription on August 31 and will close on September 01, 2016.

    The pricing and the tenure of the bonds to be issued pursuant to the said issue will be intimated in due course, it added.
