Govt To Likely Junk Monthly Hike In LPG Price

With this a hike in price of Rs. 4 per month per cylinder is withdrawn by the government.

Earlier the government weighed on the premise of waiving LPG subsidy for those with four-wheelers and this time around as a relief to LPG consumers, the Centre may junk increase in gas prices on a month on month basis.

Govt To Likely Junk Monthly Hike In LPG Price

After hiking the price since July 2016, the state run companies including HPCL, IPOC and BPCL have suspended the monthly revision in LPG rates since October this year.
The hike is effected on first of every month by national oil companies to eliminate subsidy extended by the government by the year 2018.

From November 1, the price of subsidized LPG is Rs. 495.69 with an increase of Rs. 4.5 in price for each cylinder.

This is also aimed at as is it is seen against the Centre's Ujjwala Policy which intends to provide free cooking gas connections to the poor class.

With this a hike in price of Rs. 4 per month per cylinder is withdrawn by the government.
