Bajaj Auto December Sales Increase By 30% On Strong Exports And Three-Wheeler Sales
On a year-on-year basis, domestic sales clocked a growth of 25% while exports surged by 35% to 1.43 lakh units in the month of December.
The auto major reported a robust 30% increase in overall sales for the last month of the gone by year largely backed by strong exports as well as sale of three-wheelers. The sales of auto grew to 63,785 units as against 22,217 units sold in the same month last year mainly due to more permits allowed.
The total sales for the December month was pegged at 2.92 lakh units as against 2.25 lakh units reported for the same month last year. On a year-on-year basis, domestic sales clocked a growth of 25% while exports surged by 35% to 1.43 lakh units in the month of December.
Sales of motorcycles of the company grew by just 13% comparatively to 2.29 lakh units as against 2.03 sold in December of 2016.
In intraday trade, stock of the company reached a high of Rs. 3344.50 on the BSE and was last seen trading higher by 0.58% against Monday's closing price of Rs. 3293.4.
