The National Stock Exchange's (NSE) Nifty 50 Index lost Rs 3.6 lakh crore in market value in the year 2018 (up till now), from global cues and bank frauds in India.
The National Stock Exchange's (NSE) Nifty 50 Index lost Rs 3.6 lakh crore in market value in the year 2018 (up till now), from global cues and bank frauds in India.
It has declined by 4% overall and 10% from its January peak in one quarter that is between 1 January and 31 March 2018. The index's market cap is currently Rs 72.25 lakh crores. Public Sector Unit (PSU) Banks experienced the biggest decline with Nifty PSU Bank losing over 22% in 4 months. Nifty IT index, on the other hand, gained 7%.
38 out of the 50 Nifty stocks experienced an erosion in their market capitalisation.
