Reliance Infra & Astaldi JV Wins Mumbai's Second Sea Link Project
Reliance Infrastructure (RInfra) said that it has bagged a Rs 7,000 project for the construction of Mumbai's second sea-link in a joint venture with Astaldi S.p.A.
In a BSE (Bombay Stock Exchange) filing, Reliance Infrastructure (RInfra) said that it has bagged a Rs 7,000 project for the construction of Mumbai's second sea-link in a joint venture with Astaldi S.p.A.
It is an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for a sea-link between Versova and Bandra in Mumbai.
Among other bidders were Joint Ventures between L&T and Samsung and also Hyundai Development Company with ITD. RInfra-Astaldi won the bid to bag the project.
In its statement, it said, "The letter of award (LoA) for the project has been issued by Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC). RInfra-Astaldi JV had emerged the most competitive bidder with bid of Rs 6,993.99 crore."
It also mentioned that the Versova-Bandra sea link will be three times longer than the Bandra-Worli sea link at 17.17 km. This project is expected to be commissioned in 60 months.
