Hero Motor Corp in line with the sales of other passenger vehicles has witnessed a jump in the sales of motor cycles and scooters in the June month. The company which tops the chart as the top two-wheeler manufacturer has seen in its sales jump by 13% to 7.04 lakh units in comparison to the same period a year ago.
Also, to offset an increase in the manufacturing cost due to heightened input cost as well as currency depreciation, the two-wheeler manufacturer has upped the price of its vehicles by as Rs. 500 at the ex-show room price level.
Though, prices vary across vehicle type and from model to model. Showing economic recovery, the company clocked record sales of over 2.1 million unit sales in the first quarter of the current fiscal.
"With monsoon already hitting many parts of the country, the positive consumption pattern is expected to continue in the coming months," Hero MotoCorp said in the exchange filing.
The company also pointed to the launch of newer product pipeline in the premium segment to meet the growing demand landscape.
