Mark Zuckerberg Pips Buffet To Become Third Wealthiest Man Globally
Further marking the significance of technology space in wealth creation, Facebook Inc. co-founder in yet another feather in his cap has pipped Warren Buffet to become the third richest person globally.
As per the Bloomberg Billionaires Index as the Facebook shares climbed by 2.4%, the Facebook founder hit this accolade who trails only Amazon's Jeff Bezos and Microsoft Bill Gates.
This is the first time that all the three-wealthiest man on the planet are from the technology space. And now Zuckerberg enjoys a total wealth of $81.6 billion which is appx. $373 million more than Buffett.
The stock of Facebook was recently hit due to data-privacy crisis which made its shares to plunge to eight-month low of $152.22 on March 27. But nonetheless, the continuous embrace by consumers across the globe has made the stock settled at a record high of $ 203.23 in Friday's close.
