Railway Fares for AC Travel in These Trains Reduced

The Indian Railways has reduced the fares for travel in select trains across India to encourage passengers to travel in air-conditioned coaches or chairs. An IANS report states that the prices of tickets in 5 Express trains in the Southern and Western zone of Indian Railways will be reduced based on dynamic fare fixing from the traffic pattern's demand and supply ratio. The other railway zones will soon follow the same.

Railway Fares for AC Travel in These Trains Reduced

The names of the trains whose AC fares are cut are:

  1. Gadag-Mumbai Express: With effect from 11 November AC fares for travel up to Solapur, Maharashtra from Kalburagi, Karnataka will be reduced from Rs 495 to Rs 435.
  2. Mysuru-Shirdi Weekly Express: With effect from 3 December, travel between Mysuru and Bengaluru would cost Rs 260 instead of Rs 495.
  3. Yesvantpur-Hubballi Weekly Express: Fare has been reduced to Rs 590 from Rs 735.
  4. Yesvantpur-Bikaner Express: With effect from 30 November, three-tier AC fares for travel between Hubballi and Bengaluru have been reduced from Rs 735 to Rs 590.
  5. Yesvantpur-Secunderabad Express: With effect from 22 November, three-tier AC fares have been reduced from Rs 345 to Rs 305.
