To become a super app similar to We-Chat, Amazon India in a matter of sometime will soon allow users to book air ticket over its platform. This is being done to leverage its customer base and expand its transactions.
Currently, the company is undergoing the testing phase for the flight booking service in partnership with travel site Cleartrip.
And further it is a strategic move to be an all-in-one store providing a range of service and over time Seattle-based e-commerce company will also enable booking of hotels, cab etc.
The e-commerce is facilitating the move through the help of Tapzo which it acquired to strengthen and optimize its transactions. The start-up company aggregates app-based services on to the app of Amazon India.
