Even as Jet Airways crisis continues to pervade the airline industry and there has been some serious concerns on the capacity deficit front, no-frill airline is leaving no stone unturned to boost its business. The airline has announced to launch a cheap business flight beginning May 11 known by the name SpiceBiz. The service will be catered in the previous Jet-Airways Boeing 737 aircrafts.
There has been a re-configuration made in the category into two i.e. business (2x2 seating in a row) and economy (3x3). As per its twitter handle post, the airline as part of the offering will be providing gourmet meal, lounge access and enhanced baggage allowance.
On these flights the fares will be cost-competitive by as much as 40% and the flights will operate between major domestic routes such as Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Hyderabad. As per a TOI report, the airline is looking to induct as many as 40 Boeing 737 in its network.
And with its foray into the business class segment at cost effective rates, fares in the business class are likely to moderate over a course of time.
