Emirates Beats Own Record To Launch World's Shortest Flight
On Monday, UAE-based Emirates airline launched the world's shortest Airbus A380 flight between Dubai and Muscat. In a series of fact tweets on "world's shortest Airbus A380 flight," the airline tweeted, "The wiring on an @Airbus A380 (500km) is longer than the distance between Dubai and Muscat (340km). #ShortestA380Flight #FlyEmiratesFlyBetter."

It also said, "The average flight time (40 minutes) between Dubai and Muscat is only 5 minutes more than the time taken to clean an @Airbus A380 by a team of 42 people. #ShortestA380Flight #FlyEmiratesFlyBetter."

The new flight beats Emirates' own record of the world's shortest scheduled A380 service, between Dubai and Doha. However, in 2017, all flight services to Doha were cancelled on account of the ongoing diplomatic row between Qatar and the UAE.
Emirates Airline is a subsidiary of The Emirates Group, which is wholly owned by the government of Dubai's Investment Corporation of Dubai and is the largest airline in the Middle East.
