HCL Technologies Ltd (HCL) today announced that it has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK) to cooperate in the field of cybersecurity.
HCL will partner with C3iHub, a specialist cybersecurity research center at IITK, as part of the MOU.
In a previous report, the company stated that it has accomplished infrastructure specialization in the Google Cloud Partner Advantage Scheme.
"This collaboration will bring together the country's brightest minds, advanced research capabilities and global resources to develop advanced solutions in the area of cybersecurity. HCL and IITK will bring in real-world industry exposure to carry out joint initiatives and research," it added.
Teams will develop a technology architecture and solutions to cybersecurity issues in existing and potential operational systems as one of the first areas of interest. They will also work closely to identify and handle cyber attacks, vulnerabilities and challenges to vital infrastructure.
HCL will also collaborate with IITK to find selective research projects to scale them up.
"Projects will be tested on international benchmarks for future commercialization of products and services, and research and production will be carried out in a special HCL environment," it said.
