For train routes that see high demand, the national carrier Indian railways plans to run the clone train . Clone run trains will be run in anpther 15 days after prior notification on them.
At a media briefing, the railway board chairman VK Yadav said,"Railways will monitor all the trains that are currently in operation to determine which trains have a long waiting list."Wherever there is a demand for a particular train, wherever the waiting list is long, we will run a clone train ahead of the actual train, so that passengers can travel," he said.
And these clone trains will come with less stoppages in comparison to the special trains.
Say for instance if some Delhi-Dibrughrh bound train sees high demand then the carrier will another rake to carry the waitlisted passengeers. And this extra will bear the same train number as the original train.
