Talking about Jio, the company's chairman said we invested a huge sum into Jio and serves over 42.5 crore customers across the country. The company is the second largest global mobile date carrier.
In the 4G spectrum, the company has invested over Rs. 50,000 crore.
Also, on the sideline the company has announced an affordable breakthrough 4G smartphone JioPhone Next and it shall be available from September 10, 2021- the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. This phone has been developed in association with Google and it shall be compatible with all the Android apps.
Google CEO Pichai joined the forum and said the phone will support recent Android updates, translation as well as smart camera. Further he went on to say it shall be for users who will go online for the first time. The pricing of the phone has not still been updated by the company.

As per the report, the device was to be backed by Qualcomm's 11-nm Snapdragon 665 chipset with 4G connectivity.
There has been reported that Reliance Jio is also foraying into the laptop product and they are in the process of developing a product tentatively coined 'JioBook' that will run a customized Android platform dubbed as the Jio OS.
