SBI Warns Customers Against Fake E-mails: Here's What To Do


State Bank of India (SBI) once again has come with a warning for its customers and asked them to be cautious of fraudulent mails that share similarity to bank's e-mail. And if they happen to come across such scams, bank has advised to take on some steps.

"Our customers are receiving fake alert emails from non-existing entities in the name and style of SBI. Kindly refrain from clicking on such emails. We never ever send such mails", said the bank in a tweet.

The format of the fake mail has been designed to appear as though it is a formal communication from the bank itself and customers thus has been asked to "Think Before You Click". And so to avoid customers getting trapped in such frauds, the bank has even provided a link to its official net banking site.

The bank further has asked recipient of such fake mails to report it to the centre's cybercrime department. For more information, there has been provided a link to the cyber-crime department in the tweet that will help you understand how you can spot email-scam, attempts at phishing and other similar cybercrimes.
