When it comes to the comfort and safety of customers, the leading commercial bank of our country State Bank of India has always kept a step ahead. Every month SBI keeps updated its customers to keep their accounts safe by sharing some safety and security tips. Just like same SBI has also recently made a big update for YONO users. SBI Yono's latest version will have better security protocols. Account-holders must take into account that they should only be able to log into the SBI YONO app if they have their registered mobile number with them.
This implies that a customer who has his or her mobile number registered with the bank can now only be able to access YONO mobile app. In its recent tweet, SBI has informed its customers that "Bank Securely with YONO SBI! YONO SBI is leveling up its security features. The new upgrade will allow access to YONO SBI only from the phone which has the mobile number registered with the bank."

According to the bank's annual report for 2020-2021, Yono has nearly 7.96 crore downloads and about 3.71 crore subscriptions as of March 31, 2021. SBI is also working towards the launch of YONO 2 for its customers. According to the reports of Economic Times "During the course of the journey, SBI could realise Yono's potential for international operations, particularly where we have the retail operations. We could visualise its relevance for Yono business also, and now we have started leveraging it for our agriculture segment," chairman Dinesh Khara said.
He also added that "Now what we are thinking of is as to how to integrate all these fragmented pieces of Yono and think in terms of something like Yono 2, which is the next version of it. It is something which we are working on and will come out with it and products soon" according to the source.
