On 5-Years SIP, This Large-Cap CRISIL Rated Fund Has Offered Over 33% Returns

This large-cap equity fund from the HDFC Mutual Fund is a 25-year-old fund launched on 11 October 1996. It is an open-ended medium-sized fund of its category that invest in large-cap companies for capital gains. The size of the Asset Under Management (AUM) of this fund is Rs 21023.24 crore. As of 16th May 2022, the fund has a Net Asset Value (NAV) of Rs 682.545. The fund has an expense ratio slightly higher than its category average, standing at 1.19%, whereas, the category average expense ratio is 1.09%. 

It is a moderate risky fund as the fund is an equity fund that invests in large-cap companies. It has been rated 2-star by the rating agency CRISIL, also, the fund is rated 1-star by the Value research.  One can start investing in this fund, with minimum investment as a lump-sum payment of Rs 5,000 and for it is Rs 500. There is no lock-in period, however, it charges 1% on redemption within 365 days of the investment.

The fund has the majority of its money invested in the Financial, Energy, Technology, Healthcare, and Materials sectors. The fund's top holdings are in Reliance Industries Ltd., ICICI Bank Ltd., HDFC Bank Ltd., Infosys Ltd., and State Bank of India (SBI).
