It was founded on October 1, 1938, by Hari Singh, the King of Jammu and Kashmir, it has a market cap of Rs 2,732.52 Crore. The Ministry of Finance, Government of India, owns it. Last month, Jammu & Kashmir Bank said that its board of directors had authorised a proposal to raise up to Rs 150 crore by issuing shares to employees.
