VALECHA ENGINEERING LIMITED has been promoted by Valecha Brothers on migration from Sind (Pakistan) after partition in 1947. They had a humble beginning in India. Construction was their hereditary activity. Their ancestral firm was a nme to reckon with specially in Government, in Sind and Baluchisthan. They carried out same business in India and in 1957 came into being as Partnership Firm in the name and style of Gopaldas Vasudev & Co. Within a short span of 20-25 years they were rewarded with recognition in highest class without limit contractors. Subsequently, on 5th March 1977, a Private Limited Company was incorporated under the name of Valecha Bros. (E.C.) Pvt. Ltd. This Company was engaged in same line of business and in April 1988, the Partnership Firm Gopaldas Vasudev & Co. was merged with Valecha Bros. (E.C.) Pvt. Ltd. Later, on 26th November 1993, this Company changed its status from Private to Public Limited under the name of Valecha Bros. (E.C.) Ltd. and further on 23-12-1993, the company changed its name to VALECHA ENGINEERING LIMITED.

The company is involved in infrastructure development projects like Dam construction, Tunnel building, Road laying, Bridge construction etc. The projects executed by the compare are mainly financed by Central Government, State Government and similar bodies, who float tenders before assigning the job to any specific company. Hence the business of the Company would be affected depending on the policies of above bodies and funds allocated by them for infrastructure development. In addition, the company's business is directly linked to its ability to competitively bidding for new projects.

2004
