MCX shakes hands with New York Institute of Finance to offer certification courses in India

India's leading commodity exchange MCX has partnered with New York Institute of Finance (NYIF) to offer financial market related courses in India.

NYIF, a division of Pearson, will share its online courses and certification programmes with India's MCX-SX, which would be further shared with the students interested to get enrolled in the courses.

Commenting over the development, MCX-SX Managing Director & CEO, Joseph Massey said, "This development is a significant step in developing expertise and creating skill-sets that are essential to sustain the growth pace of India's financial markets".

MCX believes that it would help students to understand business fundamentals and prepare them better for the future, both in terms of getting jobs and planning their finances better.

The move follows similar tie up by National Stock Exchange (NSE) with Gokhale Institute of Politics & Economics (GIPE) and the Symbiosis International University (SIU) to start a new course, the NSE Certified Capital Market Professional (NCCMP) course in June 2011.
