National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd has informed BSE that the Unit I of 500 MW of Vallur Thermal Power Project of NTPC Tamil Nadu Energy Co. Ltd. a JV of NTPC Ltd. and TNEB has been commissioned on March 28, 2012 at 23:47 Hrs. With this, the total capacity of NTPC group has become 36,514 MW.
