ITC surge nearly 4% ahead of FY12 results

Shares of ITC Ltd. surged nearly 4 per cent after the company reported that it would announce its FY12 results on May 25, 2012.
The Board will also consider recommendation of dividend for the aforesaid financial year.
The shares of the company touched an intraday high of Rs 236.45 and were currently trading at Rs 236.35, up 3.64 per cent.
In a similar fashion, shares of the company were quoting at Rs 236.25 a piece, up 3.94 per cent on the National Stock Exchange (NSE).
Meanwhile, the broader benchmark Sensex was quoting at 16,236.26, up 206.17 points at 10:40 hours
