L&T Construction bags orders worth over Rs 2,592 cr

L&T today said that its construction am has secured orders worth over Rs 2,592 crore across the residential and commercial spaces during the current quarter ending June 2012.
In residential segment, it secured orders worth Rs 1,206 crore from leading developers for the construction of multistoried residential towers in Bangalore and Gurgaon, the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Also, it said that it has bagged orders worth Rs 1,165 crore for the construction of mixed use development, hospital building and other institutional buildings in major cities across India.
Besides, Rs 221 crore contract was received from automobile players for factory set up.
