People of certain areas of Bengaluru are once again facing scheduled power cuts this week as maintenance work continues across multiple feeder zones. The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) has officially confirmed that power supply disruptions will occur in several parts of the city on Friday, February 13th, due to major infrastructure maintenance at substations.

According to BESCOM's notification, the temporary Bengaluru power cut is part of routine work that is being carried out for uninterrupted electricity supply in the long run. While the powercut today in Bengaluru is short-term, it is expected to impact homes, offices, apartments, hospitals, and commercial establishments across multiple localities for a few hours during the day.
Bengaluru Power Cut Timings on February 13
BESCOM stated that the power cut today in Bengaluru will vary depending on feeder maintenance activity. In some areas, electricity will remain unavailable from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, while in others, outages may last from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Officials clarified that power will be restored immediately after maintenance work is completed, and residents are advised to plan their day accordingly.
Major Substations and Feeder Zones Affected by the Bengaluru Power Cut Today
The latest BESCOM power cut alert indicates that disruptions will mainly impact areas connected to three key substations like the RBI/BMTC feeder zone, Peenya substation zone and the Shanthinagar/Central Cluster feeder zone
Areas affected by the power outage today include Localities surroundingShanthinagar, Wilson Garden, Double Road, Subbaiah Circle, Richmond Circle, Kodattanur, and nearby surrounding localities connected to the feeder.
Electricity supply will be interrupted in RBI Layout, nearby residential streets, JP Nagar 5th Phase, and apartment complexes such as Brigade Millennium and Brigade Garden.
The begaliru power cut will also impact Shivanahalli Park, Manjunath Nagar, Bowie Colony, Adarsh Nagar, Mahaganapathi Nagar, and other connected areas.
Important nearby locations including Thimmaiah Road, Pushpanjali Apartments, Unix Colony, Indira Nagar (B-Nagar), Lakshmi Nagar, and ESI Hospital Road will also experience temporary disruption.
Advisory for Residents During Bengaluru Power Cut
Bescom Authorities have said that the short-duration scheduled outages help avoid unexpected large-scale blackouts, ensuring better reliability for Bengaluru's residential and industrial consumers. Citizens are advised to charge essential devices, store backup power, and plan business operations in advance to minimize inconvenience during the February 13 Bengaluru Power Cut.
