Tip 1. Keep your card safely

The most important thing is to place your card safely. Once you make a purchase ensure that you have placed the credit card carefully in your pocket. It may so happen that you may forget to collect or leave it at the counter.

Tip 2. Avoid sharing your card information

Avoid sharing your card details with your colleagues or friends. Don't respond to calls which ask you to reveal your card details. Note: No bank will ask your pin in any case.

Card thieves may disguise as issuers and take information and other details from you.

Tip 3. Careful while using internet

Precautions and safety measures should be taken while using internet. Ensure that you check the web address, the page should start with ‘https' and not ‘http'.

Avoid clicking random links which ask for your credit card details. Shop only at the sites you trust. Ensure more safety while shopping at new sites.

Make use of virtual cards instead of credit card. The virtual credit card enables you to transact online with your 16-digit credit number.

Tip 4. Report loss immediately

Report loss of card immediately and block your card at the earliest. Or you will end up for paying for which you have not shopped. Note down your bank/credit service number.

Memorize your last three-digit CVV number and darken it on the card. So that the fraudester will not  have details to this sensitive information.
