Railways Launches New Online System For Employees To Check PF Balance, Apply For Advance
The Indian Railways has launched a completely digitized online Human Resource Management System (HRMS) to help the currently serving as well as retired employees check PF (Employees' Provident Fund) balance and to enable them to apply for PF advance.
"HRMS is a high thrust project for Indian Railways to leverage improved productivity and employee satisfaction," the Ministry of Railways said in a statement on Thursday.
Vinod Kumar Yadav, Chairman and CEO, Railway Board has launched the modules of HRMS (https://hrms.indianrail.gov.in/HRMS/) and user depot for railway employees and pensioners via video conferencing.
The modules include 1) Employee Self Service- to enable railway employees to interact with various modules of HRMS including change of employee data; 2) Provident Fund Advance- to allow employees to check PF balance and apply for PF advance online; 3) Settlement module to digitise the settlement process of retiring employees.
