IRDAI, the body regulating the functioning of insurance sector in the country, has mandated that PUC or pollution under control certificate we produced at the time of motor insurance renewal.

Earlier the Supreme court has issued that without a valid PUC certificate on the date of renewal of the policy, insurance for the vehicle will not be granted. All vehicles whether run on diesel and petrol would need to comply with the newer guidelines.
As per the Motor vehicle Act, all of the vehicle plying on the Indian roads needs to have a third-party motor insurance cover mandatorily. The pricing for such a product is decided on an annual basis by the IRDAI.
The PUC certificate is attained on purchase of a vehicle with a one-year validity and thereafter it the test to acquire it has to be done afresh every time after every six months. '

Here click on the “Privacy & Security” options listed on the left hand side of the page.
Scroll down the page to the “Permission” section .
Here click on the “Settings” tab of the Notification option.
A pop up will open with all listed sites, select the option “ALLOW“, for the respective site under the status head to allow the notification.
Once the changes is done, click on the “Save Changes” option to save the changes.
