In the year 2015, government with a view to render card transactions safer at PoS terminals has asked for the replacement of magstripe based card that were easily susceptible to such increasing frauds of card cloning or skimming, with new EMV chip based cards.

Now as the different banks have notified customers to get their card maximum by December 31, 2018 as then post this timeline, the old card would be made obsolete, banks and customers are getting their old ATM cum debit cards replaced with the new EMV (Europay MasterCard Visa) chip-based ATM card.
And if you are also one of those who have recently received the card, here is an alert as the operation of the card at the new kiosks that are compatible with it is different from the card you previously used. Here in you just cannot take out of your card immediately after transaction. Herein an alert is signaled as to when you need to take out your card and not complying with it can make your card damaged as the chip may be affected permanently in such an operation.
So, never remove the card forcibly from the ATM kiosk and a message for the purpose shall automatically flash on the device's screen.
