For submitting the response with the department, you need to follow the following 3 steps:

1. Login to compliance portal: After logging to your individual e-filing account, you need to go to the compliance portal link which is available under the My Account tab to reach out to the 'Compliance portal'.

2. Check with the information: On the compliance portal, you can check the information details, by navigating the e-verification section.

3. Submit response or upload return: After paying the ascertained taxes, submit the return and in case it is already filed, then submit details under 'Filing of income tax return' on Compliance Portal. If you judge that income tax return filing is not required then you need to submit the response accordingly.
