Did You Know: Offline PF Claim Not Possible If Your Aadhaar And UAN Are Linked
Employee Provident Fund Scheme i.e. a social savings scheme administered by the EPFO provides for a corpus to which both the employer and employee contribute similarly i.e. 12% of the basic pay of an individual on a per month basis.
There are cases which allow for partial withdrawal such as in the case when the person remains unemployed for a period of 2 months or more.

Further, in accordance with a report, if you want your PF withdrawal claim to be processed offline, the channel cannot be used in case your unique UIDAI issued aadhaar and UAN are linked. Regional Commissioner NK Singh was cited in the report saying that EPFO has taken the decision due to the rising cases of offline claims.
So, to lessen the burden of field office and to make the process of claim processing swift, the companies have been directed to place the request for the claim processing through the online channel.
Furthermore, it has been cleared that if the process of request for claim processing has been made through both the offline and online channel, online request shall only be entertained.
And once the KYC details of a subscriber are approved, the amount is credited to the person's bank account. Also, if the claim amount, exceeds a sum of Rs. 10 lakh, then only online claim has to be requested.
