Aadhaar card updation will now get a more expensive. As per a circular dated April 22, the updation cost for aadhaar including details such as mobile number, address and biometrics has been increased.

Further, the cost updation concerning demographic details such as name, gender, email id, address, mobile number will henceforth be Rs. 50 as against Rs. 25 include. For other updation in relation to photograph, fingerprints, iris scanning, the cost is now Rs.50. It is to be noted that the charges are inclusive of taxes.

The new charges are for services availed at Aadhaar centres by aadhaar applicants or holders. Nonetheless, for those getting updation online in relation to address will be charged no amount on the UIDAI website.
