The Mumbai local trains are unstoppable, with thousands running daily. However, this Sunday, the Central Railways have announced mega blocks for central, harbour and transharbour train routes. Major impact will be seen for local trains running between 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐞 - 𝐊𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐚𝐧 and 𝐕𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐢 - 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐥.
What Is Mumbai's Mega Block On Local Train Routes?
Due to routine maintenance practices, Central Railways carries out mega blocks for a few hours on Mumbai local train routes. This practice typically disrupts various train services, including the Down slow and Up slow trains. Some trains could also face cancellation, while there could be a shortage of running trains.

As per the m-indicator's latest post, there will be mega block between Thane and Kalyan up and down slow lines.
DOWN Slow/Semi fast services leaving Mulund from 10.43 hrs to 15.53 hrs will be diverted on the DOWN FAST line between Mulund and Kalyan stations, halting at Thane, Kalva, Mumbra, Diva & Dombivali stations and will arrive at the destination 10 minutes behind schedule.
Meanwhile, UP Slow/Semi fast services leaving Kalyan from 10.36 hrs to 15.51 hrs will be diverted on UP FAST line between Kalyan and Mulund stations, halting at Dombivali, Diva, Mumbra, Kalva & Thane stations and will be further re-diverted on UP SLOW line at Mulund station and will arrive at the destination 10 minutes behind schedule.
According to the m-indicator, UP Harbour line services for CSMT Mumbai, leaving Panvel from 10.33 hrs to 17.07 hrs, and DOWN Harbour line services to Panvel/Belapur, leaving CSMT Mumbai from 09.45 hrs to 15.44 hrs, will remain cancelled.
Special local trains will run on the CSMT Mumbai - Vashi section during the block period.
UP Trans-Harbour line services towards Thane, leaving Panvel from 11.02 hrs to 16.26 hrs and DOWN Trans-Harbour line services towards Panvel, leaving Thane from 10.01 hrs to 16.24 hrs, will remain cancelled, as per the m-indicator.
Is There a Mega Block On the Urban Line?
There is no block in services on the urban line.
Is There a Mega Block On the Western Line?
No, there is no block on these routes. Hence, local train services will operate as usual.
