How To Get An IVR OTP For Phone Based Transactions?

With technology getting more friendlier, making banking transaction is getting more easier. The advantage of it is that one can do most of the transactions over the phone without visiting the bank branch.

However, it has also opened more doors of fraud and cyber crimes. So, while using such transaction one should be very careful and follow complete method.

How To Get An IVR OTP For Phone Based Transactions?

IVR (Interactive Voice Response) transactions are transactions that you do over the telephone where you provide your Credit Card number on an automated system to make a payment to a vendor for purchase of goods, services etc, such as an account recharge on TATA SKY.

The IVR One Time Password (OTP), needs to be generated every time you want to transact through an IVR or mobile.

An OTP generated once is valid only for 1 successful transaction or 30 Minutes whichever is earlier.

Note that one needs to send SMS through registered mobile number obly.

You can generate the IVR OTP by any of the following 3 ways:

  • Mobile- SMS ‘OTP space ' to 5676791
  • Online- Log on to our website- www.sbicard.com using your user id & password
  • Helpline- Call our OTP Helpline at 1860 180 1291

The IVR One Time Password (OTP) is a 6 digit numeric password that will be sent on your registered
mobile number instantly. You can then use this OTP to make a payment over IVR or mobile using your SBI Card.

One needs to enter your IVR One Time Password (OTP), in addition to your SBI Card no., CVV and Expiry date, when prompted by the merchant IVR for IVR transactions and by the mobile application during transactions done through your mobile phone.
