There are chances that you must have misplaced your Pan Card and you are not aware of your number. To apply for the duplicate card or reprint the earlier card you must have your PAN number known. Not to worry in such cases, as there is a way to find the PAN by name and Date of birth (DOB) of individuals.

As per Income Tax Law, holding more than one PAN card is a criminal offense as per the Act.

Must Know Things:

• PAN Card holder name
• Date of birth
• Father's first name and last name

How to know Pan Card by name and date of birth?

Step 1 Visit Income Tax site

Step 2 Enter the date of birth

Step 3 Enter surname, middle name, first name

Step 4 Enter captcha code in the box

Step 5 Submit

If all the details match, your pan card will be displayed.

Things to note:

• Name should be the same as you have mentioned in PAN.
• Date of birth as per mentioned in PAN Card.
• Write Surname, Name, Father's name as mention in your PAN Card.

Make sure the details you have entered are the same as it was in your earlier PAN card.

Incase if you have applied for PAN Card recently and have not received your PAN, send or SMS the acknowledgement number to 53030. This will help you to get the information on your PAN number, name and date of dispatch.
