BHIM app would also work on feature phone without the internet. You can also check bank balance of the account. Now the BHIM app is available in nine different languages. You can choose your language for transactions. BHIM users can also use the Aadhaar number to transfer money through this app. However, the Aadhaar of the beneficiary should be linked to a bank account.
How to send Money on BHIM?
Using BHIM app, you can transfer money to a person only using his mobile number. It makes the money transfer very easily. You can also transfer fund to a virtual payment address and bank account number. Check how to send money on BHIM using VPA, mobile number, and bank account number.
1. Using Virtual Payment Address (VPA)
- Open the app on your smartphone and enter the app login passcode.
- Select Send Money Option and initiate a send request.
- Enter the virtual payment address (VPA) and click on verify to check the name of the payee.
- Virtual Payment Address is an address which is used in place of bank account address. This address is highly flexible. You can choose it and change it anytime. However, to complete the transaction, a VPA is linked to the bank account address.
- Name of the Payee is fetched from the Bank CBS (client bookkeeping solutions). Enter the amount and remarks for the transaction and Click on PAY option.
- You can also check the details of the deal from the dropdown in the UPI PIN entry page.
- UPI PIN entry page opens where you enters your UPI PIN.
- Confirmation of money sent is shown to you. You will get a notification for the success of the transaction from the app.
2. Using Mobile Number
- After opening the app with passwords select Send Money Option to initiate a send request.
- You have to enter the mobile number and click on verify to check the name of the payee.
- Name of the Payee is fetched if the user is registered on *99#/BHIM. Then you have to enter the amount and remarks for the transaction and Clicks on PAY.
- You can check the details of the transaction from the dropdown in the UPI PIN entry page.
- Just like other transactions, you will get a notification for the success of the transaction from the app.
3. Using Account Number and IFSC
- Select Send Money Option after opening your BHIM app.
- To pay through the account number and IFSC selects the option on the right corner.
- After entering the Account No and IFSC Code click on verify to check the name of the payee.
- Name of the Payee is fetched from the Bank CBS. The customer enters the amount and remarks for the transaction and Clicks on PAY.
- You can also check the details of the transaction from the dropdown in the UPI PIN entry page.
- As another mode of operations confirmation of money sent is shown to the customer. He will get a notification for the success of the transaction from the app.
