    Aadhaar system provides single source online identity verification across the country for the residents. Now the government has made quoting of Aadhaar mandatory for the opening of bank accounts as well as for any financial transaction of Rs 50,000 and above.

    Existing bank account holders have been asked to furnish the Aadhaar number issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) failing which the account will cease to be operational. How To Link Aadhaar With Your Bank Account?

    Do you know how to update Aadhaar number in your HDFC Bank Account? Follow the below steps to update your Aadhaar number with your HDFC bank account. You can update Aadhaar number to HDFC Bank account by four ways.

    NetBanking

     

    • Login to your HDFC NetBanking account 
    • Select "Requests" and click on "View or Update Aadhaar number."
    • Choose the account where you would like to link your Aadhaar number and input your Aadhaar number. You need to re-enter the same and click on "Update.''
    • You will be displayed all details entered by you and need to click on "Confirm" to submit the record.
    • Your Aadhaar number will be updated with us post validation in 3-4 working days.

     

     

    Mobile Banking

     

    • Login to your HDFC Bank mobileBanking, Select "Requests" section under Accounts 
    • Click on "View or Update Aadhaar number."
    • Select the Account where you want to link your Aadhaar number and input your Aadhaar number. Re-enter the same and tab on "Update."
    • You will be displayed all details entered by you and need to click on "Confirm" to submit the record.
    • Your Aadhaar number will be updated with the bank post validation in 3-4 working days.

     

     

    Phone Banking IVR

    To update Aadhaar card number with your HDFC bank account by Phone Banking you need to all the Phone Banking IVR of your city and select "Bank Account" option on IVR - Option 1 after selecting the language.

     

    • Select option # 6 for "Complaints and Requests" and option # 2 for "Requests"
    • Select option # 8 for updating Aadhaar no.
    • Validate using "Customer Id and TIN" or "Debit Card Number and PIN."
    • Input Aadhaar no for the selected Account number and re-enter the same.
    • IVR will give a message "Your Aadhaar number will be updated within 3-4 working days".
    • You will receive an SMS confirmation with the "Request number and Date".

     

     

     

    Bank branch

    You can personally visit your nearest Branch for linking Aadhaar number with your Bank account.

     

    • Fill the application form available at the Branch
    • Please carry your original Aadhaar copy or E-Aadhaar for verification.
    • Your Aadhaar number will be updated within 3-4 working days after receipt of the request and complete documentation.
