How To Get And Use Google Tez App?

Google's Tez is a new digital payment app for India. Tez works using NPCI's (National Payments Corporation of India) Unified Payments Interface (UPI), the format for money transfers.

Using Google Tez app, you can transfer money directly to your bank account. By linking your account to Tez over UPI, you can instantly transfer money from bank to bank within few minutes. You don't need to share personal details like your phone number or bank account etc. for this. Know how to get Google Tez.

Step 1

You can download the Google Tez app is available on the Google Play store and the iOS store for the iPhone. Go to Play Store and search for Google Tez. Click on the download button.

Step 2

After the app is installed, tap open, and the registration starts. You will see a window to select languages. As of now, seven languages are available in Google Tez app. They are English, Hindi, Bengali, Kannada, Marathi, Tamil, and Telugu.

Step 3

After selecting the language, click on the next button. The app will ask you to enter the phone number. The number your entering should be registered with your Bank account. The app will verify your phone number by sending an OTP. The app automatically identifies the Google account you are using on the phone and connect Tez app to it.

Step 4

Enter the OTP received in your phone number. Most probably you won't need to enter it. The app will read it automatically. Once that's done, you can add your bank account details through the Add Bank Account link in the upper left corner. Select the bank wherein it would ask you again for phone verification.

Step 5

To use the app connect a bank account with it. Select your bank from the list available in the app. The app will then send a message to your bank, which already knows your phone number and hence will automatically fetch the details of your account. Confirm the details that you see in the Tez app set the UPI PIN and add the account.
