SBI in a bid to make the onus of fraudulent transactions less taxing for customers has introduced two dedicated customer helpline numbers for earlier reporting With this there shall be probably a lesser degree of loss both for the banking customers as well as the banking entity.

The two helpline numbers erected for the purpose include 1800-425-3800 and 1800-11-2211.

In a tweet the banker said, . "Longer the time taken to notify (an unauthorized electronic transaction), higher would be the risk of loss to you".

The bank provides a host of methods to aid fund transfer and levies charges on them depending on the quantum of the fund transfer and timing of such transactions. The transfers allowed are within accounts of the same person, interbank account or transfer through wire technology as in using IMPS, RTGS or NEFT facility.
